A Little About Jennifer of Colby Lane Designs:
I’m the young’un of the group! My hubby and I have been married for 4 years and have 2 daughters, ages 3 years and 5 months. My days are filled with all things princess, Littlest Pet Shops, bike rides and lately drool thanks to my little teether…my bibs come in handy!
What is the first craft item you remember making?
I remember hand-sewing Barbie pillows and blankets at my Grandma’s house. Her sewing box is now one of my favorite possessions! The first crafty items I sold on eBay were my fabric belts. One of my very first belts sold for $25 at auction…I was thrilled!

How long have you been making your bibs?
I started selling them in 2004 after my oldest daughter was born. It’s fun to be able to make them for my niece and now for our new baby girl too.
Which is your favorite and why?
My favorite set I’ve created was for this past holiday season. I used some of my favorite Michael Miller holiday prints to make a fun pieced bib, then created a matching mini-bib to hang on the tree. They were inspired by memories of making stuffed ornaments with my mom and sister when I was little.
What is your perfect "FUN" (NO WORK) day like?
Sleeping in a bit, eating toaster strudels for breakfast, and then jumping in the car for a daytrip. We love taking Colby to new places and seeing her reaction. She gets so excited - it’s so much fun to experience places I loved when I was little with my own kiddos now.

What is your perfect crafting day like?
It would start with opening up lots of new packages of fabric from the mailman! I love crafting with beautiful new prints. I would spend the day sewing a couple cute shirred dresses for the girls, and tackle a new pattern that I’ve been meaning to get to. Then I would finally get around to sewing café curtains for our kitchen.
What is your favorite thing about GWBG?
The camaraderie between all of us! We’ve all grown so close in the past year. I look forward to checking in and seeing what each of us has going on for the day, and what the new creations are. We are each other’s biggest cheerleaders, the support and friendship is amazing. When’s the trip to Vegas??
